    We need many partners for our mission...


Nueva Salud stipulates that villagers themselves supply all labor necessary for construction and installation of new facilities. We create mechanisms for training appropriate villagers in supervising proper usage and maintenance. And we work with resources supplied by their government agencies – such as the medicines and inoculations in San Antonio.

This collaborative approach means that with a relatively modest investment of capital, dramatic benefits can be instituted and sustained.

But we do need to rely on support from many quarters:
  • Grant makers to underwrite costs
  • Government officials in the U.S. and Central America to interface as needed
  • Experts in medicine and public health to tailor the program for each village
  • Donations of materials for latrines and stoves
  • Materials to build laboratories where needed
  • Medical equipment for laboratories, plus solar panels for power
  • Internet and/or telephone service to connect providers with the outside
  • Projects to pave the way for villagers to generate income for their emergency evacuation funds
